BTS 1 assignment

ETHICAL DILEMMAS
Racial – Jack would like to choose to work with his partner whose nation is American. He never talks to other foreigner in the same working place. Also, it happens during the meeting. As a manager, the first step should clear out what Thom’s think during his work. Something happen in Thom’s past. Second, let him know how it would affect the relationship during the working time if he keeps racing on other foreigner.

Gender – Thom believe that men and women should equal, and men take lots of effort than women do. Let him know that, everyone in this company has the same amount of work, no one would take less or extra on their job. During the working time everyone has tread each other in honest way. There is something that women could handle than men.

Religious beliefs – Thom extremely believes in Christian, when someone talking other religion, he will totally feel annoying, and argue back what they said. As a human being there will no right or wrong in religion field. Everyone has their belief. Let Thom knows that no everyone have to believing in Christian. People have to respect other religion.

Inappropriate use of work hours – Thom spends lots of time on computer which is playing Facebook, MSN or chatting with people. Make a rule that during the working time should not play. Clear out what position he state with. Give him the first warning, and there will no second chance.

Define and explain the ethical dilemma
Thom has several problem shows in ethical dilemmas issue. As a manager, train an employee to be a success in the group, and his partnership with other. From the definition racial and gender are nature, there are nothing wrong with different color of people, even man or woman. Also, the definition of religion found in wikipedia which is usually encompasses a set of stories, symbols, beliefs and practices, often with a supernatural quality, that give meaning to the practitioner's experiences of life through reference to an ultimate power or reality.
Inappropriate use of work hours means that wasting time and money.

    In doing the assignment you gave multiple dilemmas involving Thom. The writing is a bit unclear, though, especially in the "Gender Section." The issue is in that you are using the wrong verbs, and that other parts of speech are missing.

    For example, when you write "...men take lots of effort than women do," I assume you mean to contrast between men and women's efforts. One way to make this clear in revision would be to use the verb "put" rather than "take", and to use the qualifier "more" in their: "Men put in more work than women."

    Again, it is little grammatical issues like this that you must continue to work on, and a good reason for getting a proofreader who can really help your English.

    That said, the dilemmas themselves are nicely thought out. I think you could have expanded the second part, explaining why each was an ethical dilemma more clearly by explaining how each example fits your definition of being unethical. For instance, when you write " Inappropriate use of work hours means that wasting time and money," you need to explain how Thom's getting on Facebook, etc., is for his own time and that he is using work hours to do personal things.
